Tulipa Gesha

Gigante is a town in Huila where a gigantic tree used to dominate the entire town. A few years ago the tree collapsed, leaving only a gigantic stump. On the stump a smaller tree will start to grow and with it life in Gigante goes on. Next to that tree lives Alexis with his family.

They were a part of this old life and are pushing a new one. They started to focus on specialty coffee and this Gesha is a testament to the old life. The trees are over 10 years old, but the processes are new. They try to use modern fermentation techniques to make the old shine. Nothing too strong, though. The result is a cup of classic Colombian Gesha. 

This coffee is part of a twin series. We bought this coffee along with Alexis's cousin Yennifer's Gesha.
